A couple weekends ago, Jocelyn’s best friend and her mom flew in to town so we could spend some quality girl time together. Our girls are in third grade this year and we knew this was an important year to start talking to them about things that will be happening in the coming years. So glad I had my friend and Jocelyn had hers to do this alongside. These girls are at such a precious age; still innocent, but yet so independent. We started our weekend out by taking them to Secret Keeper Girls.
We all had so much fun. They learned a lot about true beauty, modesty, and being princesses of the one true king! (although Jocelyn hates being called a princess, so we had to talk about what this truly meant and that you can still be sporty and be a PRINCESS of God!) We all decided we are bringing back their baby sisters when they get to be this age!
Saturday, after soccer, we hopped in the car and headed to Waco. They spent most of the car ride giggling and making friendship bracelets! We had a fun day of shopping and eating yummy food and buying cupcakes.
Jocelyn even got to bring along another friend from KS too 😂 #FlatAbby
That evening, after a Target run, we headed back to the hotel. We got cozy, tried out some fun face masks, and just chatted more about life. We did buy them this BOOK to look through and we answered any questions they had. I really feel like it went well and gave them a good start to knowing more on how their bodies will be changing in the future…ahhhh!
Sunday, after breakfast, the girls swam for a bit. It’s so nice they are big enough to swim without us now! LOL
We had a little fun in the room before we had to pack up and head back to our house and take them to the airport.
It was hard to say goodbye as always, but we all left with our hearts full of memories and love. Hope these two cherish this weekend forever 💕👯
