This year, we headed up to Justin’s littlest brother’s new place on Oologah Lake. His whole family was there and we had such a good time relaxing, swimming, eating, playing cards, and just being together.
Justin and I are finally learning to play guitar after only having my guitar for 8 years now.
The giant slip and slide in the backyard was a big hit
And their backyard has a (very steep) stairway that leads right down to the lake, so the kids wanted to swim all weekend.
Mammaw’s tea is always shared
You made a new friend ❤
Justin set up the slack line and of course the kids had to try it out. He is still pretty awesome on it. Sad I didn’t get a photo of him.
An attempt at a cousin volleyball game
Monday morning, we headed to Tulsa to get my Grandma and then Talala to see my cousin. They only live 15 minutes from Curtis. It was so great seeing her and her family, and my Grandma too!
The kids had the best time picking (and eating) blackberries on their property
Dropping Grandma off and a photo on her porch was a must. She has lived here for 52 years and is about to sell her house and move to a smaller place. Very bittersweet, as lots of memories were made here!
We stopped by a firework tent on the way back to Oologah and you just couldn’t hang.
You loved the poppers and that was all
Popper war
Jocelyn picked a panda firework, so you of course had to do the same.
Like Father, like Son
Oldest cousin, youngest cousin
The kids got to stay with Mammaw and Grandpa and will be at their house the rest of the week. I bet they are having the time of their lives and of course I already miss them like crazy!!
