On Christmas Eve, we attended the candlelight service at church and then headed home for some fun. Our evening consisted of opening one gift ( jammies!), dinner and then watching The Nativity Story. After the kids went to bed, Justin and I finished up some presents and the wrapping. Every kid gets their own special wrapping paper and they love that!
The kids woke up around 7:30, except we had to wake Julianna and she was less than thrilled with that. They opened stockings which were filled with toothbrushes and toothpaste, snacks, gum, band aids, and a small toy. And then we moved on to presents. We do three presents (something to wear, something they need, and something they want), but we added a book as well this year. Justin also made them a fort kit out of PVC pipe as a joint gift. Jocelyn got a new coat and camera strap, Jackson got a drone and Adventure Bible, Jonah got some Tegu magnetic wooden blocks and a cool construction plate with utensils, and Julianna some red Hunter boots and some new things for her doll house. They were all so excited! My parents showed up shortly after and we had cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon for breakfast.
We will be keeping our tree up at least until New Year’s Day when our company leaves. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas with the ones you love!
