Justin has been wanting to try hiking this trail that is close to our house, so on Sunday we headed out after naps. Julianna still rides most of the hike in her carrier..I secretly wish I was her. I think we walked almost 3 miles up and down lots of hills, so I did get a ton of steps in that day and Justin took us to dinner after to celebrate me not dying.
So you probably can’t read that little brown sign below, but pretty much says Caution: Poisonous snakes live here and they will probably bite you. Turn around now!! or something along those lines. Lol. Challenge accepted.
We didn’t see any snakes, but we did see 3 spiders and 2 squirrels. We were all happy with that outcome!
At this point, Jonah needed to stop and pray. It was pretty adorable.
I figured I better take some photos of nature and not as many of my kids walking. I love seeing the depth of field on that mossy log.
Break time again. We didn’t take a ton of them, because we needed not to be in the woods at night. Justin kept us moving at a pretty good pace.
Writing his name in the dirt needed to happen first before we got moving again
Julianna decided she needed to be big for a few minutes and try to keep up with the boys.
I don’t hike without a scenic view. Justin said there was a scenic view. We got to the spot where it was suppose to be and the trees were so dense, you couldn’t see anything. So happy when we stumbled upon this. You had to climb a bench to see it, but it was there. See the lake?? I hope to come back up here when the trees are changing colors.
And no hike is complete without a mini photo shoot of Julianna because these wildflowers were so pretty.
