Hope Spoken 2015

I just wanted to share a little about an amazing conference I got to attend at the end of March called Hope Spoken.  We signed up for this last MAY and it was sold out within hours. I’m so glad we snagged some tickets. Before the conference, we headed down to Waco so we could go to this sweet little store. To say we were excited is an understatement.

It was so fun seeing it in person and I wish I could have come home with the whole store!  After heading back to Dallas and doing some shopping, we got there just in time for the conference to start.

Friday night was amazing!! We ate, met with our small groups, enjoyed some amazing treats, and Jen Hatmaker spoke some major truth!! Some of my favorite stuff she said…

“No one is too broken or too bad or too this or too that for Jesus. He came for the broken, for the hurt, for the weak. There is a seat at the table for everyone – nothing you can do, will do or have done disqualifies you!”

“I don’t think we have the slightest concept of how deep and far and wide His grace goes. He has enough compassion to include the outcast. He has enough authority to include the outsider. And He has enough love to include the insider. You belong with the Savior. You belong with his people.  We have permission to set a big, wide table.  It’s not our job to label, diagnose or fix.  We have two rules, to love Jesus and to love people.”

And Jason Castro led worship that evening. I loved him on American Idol and I loved hearing him live even more!

They had an adorable market of all sorts of good stuff to buy! Kelly Moore herself was there and I may have been a bit starstruck 😉 She makes the best camera bags. I’ve had mine for a while now and I made her sign it! Ha.

Saturday, we listened to some breakout speakers (everyone I attended was amazing!), met with our small group a couple times, and enjoyed some more worship music….one of my favorite songs from the trip was Francesca Battistelli‘s Holy Spirit.

I really hope I can go again next year. It was definitely worth it and I came home feeling so refreshed and filled up!
