Family Vacation {Snowmass, CO} Part 1

We took a family vacation to Colorado a couple weekends ago with some very good friends. The trip was full of obstacles, but it was so much fun!! We also had family photos while we were out there and I can’t wait to share them! I took a lot of iPhone pictures from this trip as well as some with my big camera 🙂 I will share most of my iPhone pictures first

We left on a Thursday around 4am. We made it to Colby for our first stop about 8. I think it rained most of the drive. We got to see this awesome rainbow, which was fun for the kids though.

When we got into Denver, part of I-70 was flooding, but it didn’t affect us too much
We stopped in Vail for a late lunch and to play before going to Edwards, where we stayed the night. Vail is gorgeous. I would love to live there! I have lots of photos, so I will let them do the talking 🙂

 Jonah thought he was thristy!
Friday morning, we had family photos. You can check out a sneak peek here and I will blog more once I get my CD! Lindsey Penney is pretty amazing though, so if you are in CO look her up! After our photos, we headed to down to Snowmass for the hot air balloon festival.  Driving through Colorado is so amazing and breathtaking.
The kids favorite part of this drive was all the tunnels we got to go through
We got to Snowmass and enjoyed lunch and exploring the town.
We had such a fun first day in Snowmass…I will share more pictures in another post from day 2 and 3. I actually used my dslr and got some fun shots!
