I threw my friend April a baby shower this past weekend. She is having a baby girl in just under a month and I am so excited and happy for her and her family. I just wanted to share some of the cute and simple gifts I made for her.
1 letter: I bought a wooden white letter from Michael’s and scrapbook paper that coordinated with Tessa’s room decor. I traced the letter on to the paper and cut it out {I traced it onto the back of the paper so lines wouldn’t show up on the front}. I used Mod Podge to glue the paper to the letter. I let it dry and sanded the edges. I then put several coats of Mod Podge on top of the paper, letting it dry in between each coat. I made one for Jocelyn too 🙂
2 hair bows: I made these for Jocelyn awhile back and they are so cute. I made some smaller ones for Tessa and glued alligator hair clips on the back.
3 burp cloths: Super easy to make…I just need to make sure I wash my fabric before I sew together next time. The patterned fabric shrunk a little when I washed it. I used white minky dot on the back and 100% cotton quilt weight fabric for the front {brother & sister design}. All fabric bought at Hobby Lobby. I also made some for my super spitty little man. I used an old towel for the back of his just to try it out. Its not as soft but still works great and is a little thicker. I got the tutorial from Jones Design Company. Check out her blog; I love it!
