Mother’s Day 2010

This past Mother’s Day was so wonderful.  Grannie and Paw Paw came into town Saturday night and babysat Jocelyn so Justin and I could go to a dinner for his work.  The next morning, Justin got up and made breakfast with Paw Paw and Grannie and also got Jocelyn up. I got to sleep in a little bit, which was nice.  After breakfast we all got ready for church.  Jocelyn had her baby dedication, so she got to wear a pretty dress.

Once on stage, Shonda read the things we wrote, like what we wanted for Jocelyn’s future and  the cutest/ funniest thing Jocelyn has done up to this point.  I am not very good with words and waited until the last day to fill out the paper, so sadly not a lot of thought was put into it. I said that we wanted Jocelyn to grow up to be happy and the cutest thing she does is when she gives us hugs and kisses, also it is funny when she gives the cat hugs.  Later Justin told me, the cutest thing he thinks she does is when she gets so excited to see him when he comes home from work.  I wish he would have told me that earlier.  I am going to do better next year when we dedicate the new baby and put a lot more thought into it.  Jocelyn got a nice little bible from the church as a baby dedication gift.  It was a very nice ceremony and Jocelyn enjoyed clapping for everyone.

After church, we headed home and had sandwiches, chips and watermelon for lunch.  It was really good.  We enjoyed Grannie and Paw Paw’s visit and made some great memories this Mother’s Day!  I hope next year both Justin and my mom will be able to spend this special day with us.
