We are still here…

I know it’s been awhile since my last post, but here is what we’ve been up to since then.

Last weekend we went to Kansas City.  Friday night we visited Justin’s grandparents.  We didn’t get in until around 8:30, but they had a yummy dinner waiting for us.  Saturday we went to JCPenney’s and did some shopping for clothes for Justin’s new job and then Grandma and Grandpa took us out to lunch at Mimi’s.  It was so good!  Here is Jocelyn after she pulled an ornament off of their tree.

Later that day, Justin then dropped me off at Sarah’s and he went over to Bryce’s house to hang out.  After all the girls arrived, we had our Secret Santa gift exchange and Sarah made us enchiladas that were so good.  Jocelyn got spoiled of course by all the girls.  Becca had me for her person and she got me Pioneer Woman Cooks, which is a cookbook I have really been wanting.  Thanks Becca!

Sunday hung out with Bryce for a little bit and then we headed home.  Tuesday night, I made a chicken pot pie for our friends who just had a baby on Dec 2nd.  I remember when Jocelyn was born, the last thing I wanted to worry about was making dinner. Thank goodness for my mom helping us!  We went over to visit and hold the baby.  He was so tiny and it is hard to remember Jocelyn being that small.

I sent out our Christmas cards on Thursday, so be looking for them in the mail soon.  I put them in postcard form (cheaper to mail)!

Here is our Christmas wreath that my very talented mother made for us last Christmas.  I love it so much, I just had to share!

Yesterday, Jocelyn and I made cookies for our church Christmas program which is on Sunday night. I am going to decorate them today.

A few new things that Jocelyn can do is point to her eyes and nose, tell you brrrbrrr if you ask her if it is cold, and sign cereal, eat and apple.  Justin is working on teaching her to sign bath.  I am trying to teach her please and thank you.
