Day 1: Friday we left for Hilton Head around noon. The drive was about 4.5 hours from ATL because we had to make a few stops on the way. Jocelyn slept most of the trip though. Once we got to the cottage we unpacked all of our stuff and then took Jocelyn on a walk. She really loves walks. We spent the evening by getting food for the weekend and going to Cheeburger Cheeburger for dinner. Nana and I tried to wait up for Justin to arrive, but of course we both feel asleep. He finally got in around 2am. I have lots of photos to share from this weekend.
Day 2: Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast and since it was raining, we decided to play dominos. For lunch, we went to Jim and Nick’s BBQ; they had really good cheese biscuits. Jocelyn tried prunes for the first time at lunch and her face was priceless. She made a face like you would when eating a lemon. Very cute! That night Nana and Gpop babysat while Justin and I went on a date. We went to dinner and then to see Angels and Demons. I enjoyed the book better, but it was a really good movie! Jocelyn was still awake when we got home.
Day 3: Sunday, we woke up and Nana made us a really yummy breakfast. We played some dominos and then got ready to go to Hilton Head Island. We went to the beach first. Jocelyn liked the feel of the sand on her feet, but was a little scared of the ocean water. We then drove down to The Salty Dog Cafe for lunch. They had amazing hush puppies. After lunch, we went to get Jocelyn a Salty Dog t-shirt. That evening we went on a walk and then grilled out on the porch.
Day 4: Today was our last day. This morning we enjoyed watching the golfers behind the cottage. They were all dressed in red, white and blue for Memorial Day. We then went to the pool and spent about 45 minutes there. Justin took Jocelyn in the pool for her first time. It was cold at first, but she loved it. She really liked trying to grab the fountains shooting out of the water. After the pool, we ate lunch and packed. We made it back to Atlanta and Justin made it back to Wichita safely. We all had a great Memorial Day weekend.
